Guidelines - Research Proposal

GUIDELINES FOR THE RESEARCH PROPOSAL

• Use Times New Roman, font size 12 and spacing 1.0.
• Paragraph justified. Do not indent the first line.
• Title should be in upper case highlighted and underlined (e.g. RESEARCH STUDY PROPOSAL) and do not use upper case for any other sections.

• Leave one line between the lines/sections. (E.g. between the title and your name, Topic and the Research questions etc.)

• Highlight only the following words in the proposal.

Specific aspects of the topic
Proposed format
Information sources
Written
Oral (interview/survey)
Audio-visual/electronic
Expected outcomes

• Use the bullet style given in the sample for the headings and sub-headings


• Make sure your information sources are according to the Harvard referencing (University of Adelaide doc.)

• Do not forget to include the last part of the proposal (interview/survey, audio-visual details and expected outcomes)
